Tulips

“The tulips are too red in the first place, they hurt me.
Even through the gift paper I could hear them breathe
Lightly, through their white swaddlings, like an awful baby.
Their redness talks to my wound, it corresponds.
They are subtle : they seem to float, though they weigh me down,
Upsetting me with their sudden tongues and their color,
A dozen red lead sinkers round my neck.” Sylvia Plath

Life: restlessness and space

“There is no insurmountable solitude. All paths lead to the same goal: to convey to others what we are. And we must pass through solitude and difficulty, isolation and silence in order to reach forth to the enchanted place where we can dance our clumsy dance and sing our sorrowful song — but in this dance or in this song there are fulfilled the most ancient rites of our conscience in the awareness of being human and of believing in a common destiny.“ // Pablo Neruda

False face

We have lived our lives behind a mask. Sooner or later — if we are lucky — the mask will be smashed // Marion Woodman

Pageant of summer...

“It is eternity now. I am in the midst of it. It is about me in the sunshine; I am in it as the butterfly in the light-laden air. Nothing has to come; it is now. Now is eternity; now is the immortal life.” // Richard Jefferies

Leaping into the unknown...

I recently had the joy of creating a mixed media portrait of Marine Tanguy; we wanted to lean into her vulnerability, champion her leadership and celebrate the joy of art. Marine is the CEO of MTArt Agency ... Agreeing to a nude pregnancy shoot was on the fringes of Marine’s comfort zone but the result is an expression of why creativity means leaping into the unknown.
